Discover another aspect of the Dominican Republic. Take a day trip to experience the life of the countryside. We travel to the central region of the country called the Cibao and come across several banana plantations and tropical fruit farms. We visit one of the most famous tobacco factories in the country that produces world-renowned cigars.

 

We make a short visit of the city of Santiago De Los Caballeros, the country's second largest city also known as “the City of the Heart”. Then we drive to Jarabacoa province, also known as the Dominican Alps since this mountain region is famous for its cooler climate and its pine forests. Then we ride a horse to the famous Jimenoa waterfalls and enjoy a typical Dominican lunch in a Rancho. After lunch we make a few stops to visit typical ceramic and dolls workshop, where you can buy local handicraft.
